SAVE $25 on Furnace Repair

Is it the Flu or Carbon Monoxide Poisoning? We had an alarming experience here at Aladdin this month. We got a call from an elderly gentleman who requested that we send a service technician out to inspect his furnace. It seems it hadnand#226;and#128;and#153;t been working right and he and his wife were unable to keep the house warm during the recent cold weather snap.
The gentleman was teasing our technician, a man in his late 20and#226;and#128;and#153;s, about being a and#226;and#128;and#156;youngster,and#226;and#128;and#157; and lightheartedly commenting on the trials and tribulations of advancing age. He mentioned that both he and his wife seemed to have caught some sort of bug; that they were feeling generally run-down and were napping earlier and longer each day. While our client made light of his situation, our technician made a serious mental note of his comments and then set about his work.
As soon as the Aladdin technician took the cover off the furnace, he was hit by a sudden and intense and#226;and#128;and#156;woozyand#226;and#128;and#157; feeling. Recognizing the problem as a carbon monoxide leak, our technician wasted no time helping the clients open up the house to allow fresh air in. He also had his clients wait for him to finish his inspection outside on their patio. The furnace had been installed some years ago by a contractor friend, and the seal around the flueand#226;and#128;and#153;s joint had deteriorated over time. Unbeknownst to our lovely elderly clients, they were not suffering from a low-grade flu but from carbon monoxide poisoning. It frightens me to think about what could have happened had they not called to have their furnace inspected.
Donand#226;and#128;and#153;t take risks with your health or the health of your loved ones. Know the causes and symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning. Get a carbon monoxide detector as a helpful tooland#226;and#128;and#166;but use it as just that: a tool. They are not fool-proof and are no substitute for proven preventative measures.
